Inés started investing during the summer of 2023. Since then she has been “religiously investing every month”.
Inés finished “Investment Accelerator” self-study program with 2 additional personal consultations. It took her 2 month from starting the course to making her first investment. Inés started investing 1 month before her wedding. She is also saving to buy a house.
Inés chose not to sign-up to the pension plan widely accepted among her colleagues and invested in the pension plan by Indexa Capital instead. In addition, she designed a system to purchase ETFs on DEGIRO every month.
I knew NOTHING about finances and I was a disaster taking care of my finances. I hated mathematics even if wasn’t bad with them. I really needed help to understand how to calculate how much I need to save every month to be independent when I retire, how much I need to invest to get a good return…
I felt so insecure and with a scarcity mindset around my finances that I wanted to learn new skills to become more abundant. I read a few books about money and searched for some coaching to learn how to invest and take care of my money.
When we want something, we can do everything! I remember listening to your webinars in the time I was cooking or on the bus… and actually, the program is short and goes direct to the practical skills, so it didn’t take so much time.
My husband shares a lot about his financial work and I am always impressed by his knowledge. He told me that my money was losing value in my bank account and my mind clicked. I wanted to know more. I know women are different emotionally and wanted a feminine perspective on how to handle my money. My husband encouraged me a lot but when he explains me things it is so complicated and from a masculine perspective. I needed someone who explained to me simple and easy tips to apply.
My husband and I have a joint account where he is the financial director, as I call him and I trust here his decisions. And at the same time, I have my own money for my personal expenses that now I handle with confidence.
I read a book and listened few conferences before joining Lena’s programs and they all talk about “pots”. Organizing my money in different pots gave me so much ease in knowing where was my money without draining me. I have pots of “bills and necessary expenses”, “hobbies”, “education”, “travels”, “financial freedom” and “big savings for future goals (for me it’s a house).” Every month I put the same percentage of money in those pots. I put 10% of my salary in hobbies, 10% of my salary in education, 10% of my salary in financial freedom… and for example, I spend those 10% on hobbies during the month. I love this system, I could share a lot of details about it but it would take hours!
Don’t be afraid to recognize your ignorance and start. We all have flaws and it’s wonderful to learn from others to grow. Being empowered with our finances gives us security and confidence that impacts in other areas of our lives.
My determination and humility to recognize where I need help.
… it is always tricky for me to not spend too much on clothes. Before saving, that was my main problem. I tend to spend a lot… That was why the pots helped me. Since January, I refined my pots and created a new one where every month I put 80 euros for clothes. If I want to buy something, I only can if I have the money in the pot. That is helping me a lot because I know where is my money and so I don’t want to spend from other pots my money to get a dress.
I just want to feel abundant with money and if sharing with others inspire, I’m happy to do it. I have to say that finances aren’t a passion for me, so I’m happy knowing the minimum to be empowered with my own money.
Thank you, Lena, for receiving me. I feel so grateful for the training I did with you. I feel now empowered and confident with my money, which makes me feel more secure.
